My Mum’s Ferrari

Sheffield Then

 1953 Life

At night going to the toilet shivering shivering,

The slipper and ruler at school hurtful hurtful,

Sadly, I look over the bridge at the steam mills with my lucky orange in my hand I’m sad sad,

The 2p machine after school I used to look forward to them but I was usually not the 3rd person so I was angry angry,

I would line up near the air raid shelter I would be tired tired,

Walking to school hands as freezing as ice I’m cold cold,

Walking to school nobody around I’m lonely lonely.


2013 Life

Getting into my mum’s Ferrari with my iPad on the back seat.

I was so hot in the car, I couldn’t stand the heat.

With my football under my foot, I was late for breakfast,

So I had a slice of meat.

With my sister next to me, she was still asleep,

So she could not see….
