Walkley Reform Club – on this day 100 years ago – 9th September 1915

A quiet meeting, with the impact of the War clearly being felt locally as the Club makes plans to entertain some of the wounded soldiers.

[9 September 1915]
Minutes of Executive Committee, held Sep 9th 1915, Mr A Wragg presiding.
The minute of previous meeting, held Aug 11th were read, & passed as a true record.
The accounts were passed to be paid.
The secretary of the sub-committee appointed to arrange for the entertaining of some of the wounded soldiers then reported the recommendation of same, which were endorsed.
A vote of thanks to the chairman brought the meeting to a close.
