Roman in Rivelin

Roman Lamp 2

I knew about the ‘military diploma’ up beyond Rivelin Post Office, but I didn’t know about this lamp. Do two finds in the Rivelin constitute a Romano-British landscape?

It would be interesting to know if the museum still has the lamp and if a better image could be obtained.

Here is the location: the road running northward to a  junction with Walkley Bank Road is Fern Road.

I didn’t know about the lamp either. Great discovery.
