We have a great line up of speakers for the History IS Here talks. Discover Walkley and Sheffield’s fascinating, murky and sometimes violent past. All the talks are in Ruskin Hall, Walkley Community Centre, 7a Fir St, 7 – 9pm with a fabulous bar and cafe.

8th November 2013 – Martin Olive. ‘Walkley Land Societies’.

13th December 2013 – Peter Warr. ‘Sheffield Life in World War One’.

10th January 2014 –Chris Hobbs. ‘Sheffield’s Shocking Past – Forgotten Tales of Murder, Mishap & Gruesome Misdemeanour’

14th February 2014 –Hugh Waterhouse. ‘Third Class Grave – Rich and poor  in Walkley’s Victorian Cemetery’.

14th March 2014 –Walkley Historians. ‘The Life and Times of Walkley Reform Club’s First World War Soldiers’.
