The Stories of Activism in Sheffield



Here is a two-day WEA course for anyone interested in the city context of the Walkley Action Group and oral history.


Start date: This is a two day course.
Day 1: Saturday 18 May, 9:45 – 3:00pm at The Circle VAS, 33 Rockingham Lane S1 4FW.
Topic: Exploring Sheffield’s Radical 20th Century History – contributions from Stephen Ludlum, Politics Dept. University of Sheffield and a number of activists.
Day 2: time and venue to be agreed by the group at the first session.
Venue: The Circle VAS, 33 Rockingham Lan S1 4FW
Tutor: Gary Rivett

Collect the stories of activists in Sheffield with training from the WEA. With the ‘The Stories of Activism in Sheffield’ project, we are offering a course on the history of Sheffield’s activism, oral history interview training, support when interviewing activists, and the opportunity to reflect upon your experiences.

Could you also provide a brief outline (no more than 100 words) stating why you are interested in being involved and what you could contribute to the project.
